Provincetown can provide accommodations that are just right for you and your group.

Provincetown inns

The Provincetown inns and hotels cater to every budget and taste. Most are open from about mid-April until about Halloween, though many have winterized, part of a growing trend to stay open year 'round. Most Provincetown inns and guest houses offer TV's, VCR's, phones, and refrigerators; several have kitchens or kitchenettes, many boast video libraries, and there are more private bathrooms, fireplaces, and rooftop sun decks than ever. Several places offer a range of accommodation options, from simple rooms to efficiency cottages or apartments. In season, prices range form around $75 per night on the low and, to three or four hundred on the high end. Many places have a five-night-minimum-stay policy during the season. There are several full service hotels with in-house restaurants, nightclubs and daily maid service. But if your stay in a romantic Provincetown inn it can be your entrance into an entire social milieu as well. Many offer afternoon social hours, group hot tubs and morning breakfasts where new friends can gather and share good times.

Provincetown and surroundings

Provincetown is, of course, a celebrated artist' Mecca, but the main industry these days is gay travel: sun, sand, sea, and lots of good-looking boys and girls. With its beautiful Provincetown inns, fresh ocean air, sand dunes, and an active, year-round scene, Provincetown's popularity continues to grow.

Provincetown is located at the tip of the "elbow" of Cape Cod. The town has two narrow parallel main streets approximately three miles in length. A series of cross streets, resembling a ladder, connecting the two, start at the harbor's edge and run back toward the dunes. Commercial Street runs along the water, while Bradford Street runs parallel, one block back. The town is bordered by vast stretches of open dunes, pine and scrub oak forests, beaches and the open sea.

The pace in the surrounding towns is slow and quiet and the natural resources are spectacular. When describing the Lower Cape we start with natural wonders; vast beaches, dunes, sunsets on the bay and meandering roads lined with distinctive old homes. All that is beautiful and fulfilling here draws even the most casual visitor to this marvelous piece of land. It is the gateway to the National Seashore with its endless beaches.

In all, you'll find the comforts and conveniences you expect from the Provincetown inns and other fine-lodging providers. Provincetown inns, hotels, bed and breakfast and guesthouse owners take enormous pride in the way they restore, maintain and operate their properties, attending to every detail with a loving eye, while enhancing and updating their amenities to offer their guests the most comfortable experience possible.
